This one-time release honors the employees, community, and industry partners who helped the family-owned company rebuild.

The blend begins with 18-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon produced in March 2008 and matured entirely in heavy-char barrels. Heaven Hill then mingles it with 30-year-old whiskey distilled at the original distillery before the fire, creating a direct connection to that historic site. Bottled at 107 proof, Phoenix combines mature oak with caramel sweetness, baked fruit, and warming spice.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Seasoned oak and caramel accented by cinnamon and nutmeg.

Palate: Butterscotch and baked apple meet caramel, cinnamon, and gently drying oak tannins.

Finish: Long and warming, with apple-pie sweetness and a peppery kick.

What Makes It Special

30th anniversary commemoration: Marks three decades since the 1996 distillery fire.

Pre-fire whiskey: Includes a portion of 30-year-old whiskey from Old Heaven Hill Springs Distillery.

Heavy-char maturation: The 18-year-old bourbon spent its full maturation in heavily charred barrels.

One-time release: Created as a limited commemorative bottling.

Special presentation: Phoenix artwork and a gift carton carry the message “Remember.
