Laws Whiskey House Four Grain Cognac Finished Bourbon Whiskey
47.5% ABV | 4+ Years Aged | Solera-Finished in Cognac Foeder | Limited Release
Process & Profile
This rare expression from Laws Whiskey House begins with their signature Four Grain Straight Bourbon, distilled from a unique mash bill of corn, heirloom wheat, heirloom rye, and heirloom malted barley. After initial aging, the bourbon is transferred to various-sized French oak casks that once held Cognac, imparting rich, fruit-forward layers to the whiskey.
For a final maturation, the bourbon is moved into a 50-year-old, 1,600-gallon Cognac foeder for solera-style finishing. Each year, only a portion of the spirit is harvested, while the foeder is refilled with freshly finished Four Grain Bourbon—creating a continuously evolving whiskey with exceptional depth, character, and continuity.
