Doc Swinson's Exploratory Cask Toasted French Oak Bourbon relies on the nuanced influence of additional new or used oak from diverse origins, for balancing, intensifying, and mellowing the spirit in unprecedented ways. This is the inaugural release in the double-oak whiskey line, with a focus on French oak, and the selected casks are often found in the maturation of the world's finest wines.
Sited in the core of Cognac, France, the Taransaud Cooperage is famed for its high-quality, limited-production oak casks. Derived from trees in the renowned Troncaise forest and seasoned for a minimum of 36 months, these barrels bring a subtle emphasis on minerality and bold sweet and spicy notes, superbly complementing the bourbon's character.
