Jean Fillioux Grande Champagne Cognac XO Grande Reserve is the epitome of exquisite sophistication. With deep roots in the "Special Amateur" or "Expert Collection," this cognac captivates with intoxicating notes of vanilla, honey, black hot chocolate, and an exotic medley of candied fruit, mango, and apricot. The mouthfeel unfolds with delectable nuances of peaches, nuts, maple syrup, and a hint of spicy cinnamon, complemented by rancio, rich oak, and black tea.
Distilled with meticulous care in Charentais pot still from wine with the lees, it thrives on the Cretaceous clay-limestone soil, bringing forward the distinct characteristics of Ugni blanc. A perfect pairing with dark chocolate, this 44% ABV cognac was crowned with a commendable 97 points at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge in 2018.
