Buffalo Trace Bundle

Buffalo Trace Bundle

Spirit & Liqueur Bundle | 3 Bottles | 375mL + 750mL + 750mL | Kentucky, USA

Process & Profile

The Buffalo Trace Bundle brings together three different sides of the Kentucky distillery: unaged White Dog Mash #1, barrel-matured Buffalo Trace Bourbon, and Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream. This three-bottle selection offers a useful contrast between the spirit before oak maturation, the finished straight bourbon, and a creamy bourbon-based liqueur.

White Dog Mash #1 and Buffalo Trace Bourbon share the distillery’s officially identified Mash Bill #1, making them an interesting comparison for anyone exploring how barrel aging changes whiskey. The White Dog emphasizes corn, vanilla, and an oily texture, while the bourbon develops brown sugar, oak, toffee, and dark fruit through maturation in new charred oak barrels. Bourbon Cream adds a softer dessert-style option, combining Buffalo Trace Bourbon with cream for a rich profile of vanilla, caramel, and gentle whiskey spice.

This bundle includes:

• (1) Buffalo Trace White Dog Mash #1 — 375mL: Unaged spirit bottled at 62.5% ABV | 125 Proof.

• (1) Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream — 750mL: Bourbon cream liqueur bottled at 15% ABV | 30 Proof.

• (1) Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey — 750mL: Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 45% ABV | 90 Proof.

Tasting Notes

• Buffalo Trace White Dog Mash #1: Sweet aromatics with a little heat, followed by corn, vanilla, and an oily mouthfeel.

• Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream: Rich vanilla, caramel, and toffee balanced by oak and subtle bourbon spice, ending with lingering sweetness.

• Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey: Vanilla, mint, and molasses aromas lead into brown sugar and spice, followed by oak, toffee, dark fruit, and anise. The finish is smooth and extended.

What Makes It Special

• Three distinct styles: Includes an unaged spirit, a Kentucky straight bourbon, and a cream liqueur.

• A shared mash bill to explore: White Dog Mash #1 and Buffalo Trace Bourbon offer a comparison of the same mash bill before and after barrel maturation.

• 125-proof White Dog: Provides a concentrated look at the distillery’s unaged spirit.

• Bourbon-based cream liqueur: Bourbon Cream combines dessert flavors with the oak and spice character of Buffalo Trace Bourbon.

• Several serving possibilities: Covers whiskey tasting, classic bourbon cocktails, coffee drinks, and chilled after-dinner pours.

How to Enjoy

For a tasting comparison, serve small pours of White Dog Mash #1 and Buffalo Trace Bourbon in separate glasses. Add water gradually to the higher-proof White Dog so you can explore its grain character alongside the bourbon’s oak influence. The bourbon also works neatly over a large ice cube or in an Old Fashioned.

Enjoy Bourbon Cream chilled, over ice, or added to coffee. For a cocktail using two bottles from the bundle, try the distillery’s Giddy Up Buffalo, which combines Bourbon Cream, Buffalo Trace Bourbon, espresso, and simple syrup. Refrigerate Bourbon Cream after opening.
