Knappogue Castle Single Malt Irish Whiskey Bundle

Knappogue Castle Single Malt Irish Whiskey Bundle

Irish Single Malt Whiskey Bundle | 43%–46% ABV | 86–92 Proof | 3 Bottles | 2.2L Total | Ireland | 12, 14 & 16 Year Age Statements

Process & Profile

The Knappogue Castle Single Malt Irish Whiskey Bundle presents three age-stated expressions that demonstrate how extended maturation and different cask treatments shape triple-distilled Irish single malt. Each whiskey is made exclusively from malted barley and offers a distinct balance of fruit, malt, vanilla, oak, and spice.

The 12 Year is matured entirely in bourbon barrels, while the 14 Year combines single malts aged in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. The 16 Year spends at least 14 years in bourbon barrels before additional maturation in Oloroso sherry casks brings its total age to a minimum of 16 years.

Bundle Includes

• (1) Knappogue Castle 12 Year Single Malt Irish Whiskey 750mL

• (1) Knappogue Castle 14 Year Single Malt Irish Whiskey 700mL

• (1) Knappogue Castle 16 Year Single Malt Irish Whiskey 750mL

Tasting Notes

• Knappogue Castle 12 Year: Rich, biscuity malt with orchard fruit, vanilla, honey, and peppery spice. The palate is mellow and balanced with bright fruit, mild spice, and a clean, smooth finish.

• Knappogue Castle 14 Year: Apple, apricot, plum, vanilla, nuts, and biscuit-like malt lead into green apple, grapefruit zest, dried fruit, and light oak tannins. The finish is medium to long with fruit, spice, and dry barley.

• Knappogue Castle 16 Year: Aromatic malt, vanilla, dried fruit, raisins, nuts, and Oloroso sherry spice. The palate is deep and complex with fruit, oak, chocolate, and gentle sweetness, followed by a long, lingering finish.

What Makes It Special

• Includes three age-stated Irish single malts aged 12, 14, and 16 years.

• Shows the progression from bourbon-cask maturation to deeper Oloroso sherry influence.

• Features two 750mL bottles and one 700mL bottle for 2.2 liters total.

• All three expressions are triple distilled and made exclusively from malted barley.

• Offers an excellent guided tasting experience for comparing age, oak, and cask influence.

• Combines the elegant 12 Year, non-chill-filtered 14 Year, and richly sherry-finished 16 Year in one collection.

How to Enjoy

Taste the bundle as a progressive flight beginning with the bourbon-cask-matured 12 Year, followed by the Twin Wood 14 Year, and finishing with the richer 16 Year Sherry Cask Finish. Serving each whiskey neat in a separate tulip-shaped glass makes it easier to compare their aromas, textures, and finishes.

Allow each pour to rest briefly before tasting. A few drops of water can help reveal additional fruit, malt, vanilla, and spice, particularly in the 46% ABV Knappogue Castle 14 Year.
