Â
St. George Absinthe Verte
Absinthe | 60% ABV (120 Proof) | 750 mL | California, USA
Process & Profile
St. George Absinthe Verte is a traditionally styled American absinthe produced by St. George Spirits in Alameda, California. It was among the first legally produced absinthes in the United States following the repeal of the absinthe ban, and it is crafted with a strong emphasis on classical European technique.
The spirit begins with a brandy base that is infused with classic absinthe botanicals including wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), star anise, and fennel, then distilled. After distillation, it undergoes a secondary infusion with additional herbs such as mint, tarragon, basil, lemon balm, hyssop, and nettles, which contribute both flavor complexity and its natural green color. No artificial coloring is used.
