Process & Profile

The Lotus Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from Dana Estates is sourced from the rugged 12-acre Lotus Vineyard on Napa’s Vaca Mountains east side. Vines struggle on steep slopes (~35–40° gradient) with rocky, volcanic soils and minimal water, producing deeply concentrated fruit. The wine is 100% or nearly 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (depending on vintage) with ageing in new French-oak barrels for approximately 20–25 months.

  • Nose: Black raspberry, cassis, violets, crushed stone minerality, sandalwood and subtle toast. 

  • Palate: Rich dark‐berry core, plum, cassis layered with mocha, graphite and firm, fine-grained tannins.

  • Finish: Long, focused with graphite edge, dark chocolate and lingering mineral and cedar spice.
