J. Rieger’s Kansas City Whiskey

American Blended Whiskey | 46% ABV (92 Proof) | 750 mL

Process & Profile

J. Rieger’s Kansas City Whiskey is a proprietary blend combining straight bourbon, straight rye, and light corn whiskey—each aged at least four years. The blend is finished with a small amount of 15-year-old Oloroso sherry from Williams & Humbert in Jerez, Spain. Bottled at 92 proof, it highlights a balance of sweet and spicy character. J. Rieger & Co. revived the historic Kansas City–style whiskey in 2014, innovating by reintroducing sherry inclusion into American whiskey.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Deep caramel and butterscotch sweetness from sherry, layered with warm baking spice and corn-driven vanilla

Finish: Medium warmth, with lingering spice, oak, and gentle sweetness
