The Old Elk Signature High-Malt Bourbon, aged for a minimum of 5 years, undergoes a secondary maturation process in 59-gallon oak casks from Portugal for a period ranging between 10 months to 1 year. This Port Cask Finish expression, made up of 51% corn, 34% malted barley, and 15% rye. The Portuguese oak casks influence the bourbon with a rich, ripe fruit flavor profile, complemented by an aroma of oak and sweet honey. This luscious blend of flavors earned the Port Cask Finish a Gold Medal in 2021 at the Beverage Testing Institute. The result is a sophisticated bourbon that offers a unique depth and complexity in every sip.
