The "Wheated" Spirit

David Nicholson 1843 Bourbon is a mellow light weight middle of the road, sipping bourbon. It is missing the complexity of the higher price point bourbons that are richly aged for wood-based flavor complexity. It's alright. The good news is that it is not a blended Indianna TN whiskey that has no Kentucky Bourbon identity. David Nicholson 1843, even with less aging has a true flavor identity showing it's relationship to other Kentucky Bourbon cousins. It is made at Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown, Kentucky. Decent stuff!
