Highland Park 50 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 42.5% ABV (85 Proof) | 700 mL

Process & Profile

This extraordinary expression marks Highland Park’s pinnacle of aging. Crafted from two Spanish oak, sherry-seasoned hogsheads filled in 1964, the whisky lay undisturbed until 2008, when the casks were married and re-casked. A touch of earlier 50-year-old stock from the 2010 batch was added, then matured further to achieve ultimate harmony. Released in 2018 in honor of the distillery’s rich heritage, only 274 bottles were produced, each hand-bottled into a crystal decanter housed in a hand-crafted oak box with silver plating—remarkably collectible.

Tasting Notes

  • Nose: Rich dried fruits (dark cherries, figs), Muscovado sugar, subtle cedar, and lingering light peat smoke

  • Palate: Lush black cherry and toasted oak with nuanced nutmeg and spice; hints of cedar wood and gentle smoke

  • Finish: Long and elegant, with developing warmth, fruit sweetness, and soft smoke weaving through steady spice

What Makes It Special

  • Crafted from only two unique hogshead casks, resulting in an extremely limited run

  • Packaged in a stunning collectible format featuring a crystal decanter and handcrafted oak presentation box

  • A true showcase of Highland Park’s spirit evolution and commitment to heritage

How to Enjoy

This is a contemplative single malt to be savored neat in a tulip glass. Allow several minutes for aromas to evolve post-pour. A single drop of water may help unlock its intricate fruit and spice layers, but its sophisticated balance can also stand on its own—best reserved for profound sipping moments.
