Louis Roederer Starck Brut Nature Rosé Champagne 2018

Vintage Rosé Champagne | 12.5% ABV | 750mL | Cumières, Champagne, France | Zero Dosage | Philippe Starck Collaboration

Process & Profile

Louis Roederer Starck Brut Nature Rosé Champagne 2018 combines ripe red fruit with a dry, saline finish. Created through the collaboration between Louis Roederer and designer Philippe Starck, it comes from the house’s Brut Nature vineyards in Cumières, cultivated according to biodynamic principles.

The blend comprises 64% Pinot Noir, 20% Meunier, and 16% Chardonnay, with a touch of Pinot Blanc. A separately harvested portion of Pinot Noir undergoes a five-day cold infusion before joining the other grape juices for fermentation. This technique develops the rosé’s color, fruit expression, and texture.

Twenty percent of the wines are vinified in oak, and none undergo malolactic fermentation. Finished without dosage, the Champagne balances its concentrated fruit and creamy bubbles with freshness and gentle tannic grip. Blood orange, redcurrant, violet, and raspberry lead into a savory finish accented by spice and cocoa.

How to Enjoy

Serve at approximately 46–50°F (8–10°C) in a tulip-shaped Champagne glass or white-wine glass. Give it time in the glass to reveal its red-fruit aromas and creamy texture.

Enjoy as an aperitif or alongside langoustine carpaccio and sashimi. Its saline freshness and substantial texture also make it an appealing choice for a seafood-focused dinner.
