Masahiro Pure Malt Japanese Whisky: The Masahiro Distillery, rooted in Okinawa, dates back to 1883, founded by Shobun Higa. The distillery, initially known for crafting the traditional Okinawan spirit 'awamori', owes its inception to the heritage of Shozoku Higa, a Master Chef for the ancient Ryukyu Kingdom. 2018 marked a significant milestone as the eighth-generation owner, Masayasu Higa, unveiled the Okinawa Gin, heralding the distillery's venture into the realm of craft whisky. The ambition? To etch Masahiro's name among the world's top premium whisky producers.
This exquisite blend features pure malt aged in Old Sherry butt and Bourbon casks for over three years. Following this maturation, the whisky is further matured in Jack Daniel’s first fill Bourbon barrels for an additional half a year, resulting in a harmonious symphony of flavors.
