New Riff's Ol'New Riff Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a masterful revival of the timeless artistry that once made the Greater Cincinnati region a bastion of whiskey excellence. By resurrecting lost histories and traditional recipes, this project connects whiskey aficionados with the spirit of the Gilded Age while incorporating the craftsmanship of the modern era.

Heritage Cooperage Techniques: Constructed using 19th-century cooperage methods, the barrels for Ol'New Riff Bourbon are shaped without contemporary kiln-drying, allowing the wood to mature naturally and interact authentically with the aging bourbon. This traditional approach underscores a reverence for historical practices and a commitment to capturing the essence of the whiskey's terroir.

Heirloom Grains and Mashbill: The bourbon features a classic mashbill with a twist, blending 60% heirloom corn with 26% Balboa rye and 14% two-row malted barley. The heirloom corn varieties, including blue Clarage and yellow Leaming, bring a depth of sweet, earthy flavor to the bourbon, while the higher malted barley content enriches the whiskey with a creaminess and complexity uncommon in typical bourbons.

Aged to Perfection: True to the bottled-in-bond designation, this bourbon is aged for a minimum of five years, reaching a level of maturity and flavor development that pays homage to the golden days of whiskey making. The five-year aging process is a guarantee of the bourbon's character and quality, signifying its authenticity and heritage.

The Water Source: Pure and pristine, the aquifer water used in Ol'New Riff Bourbon is drawn from ancient rock, imparting a level of clarity and cleanliness to the whiskey. This water is critical in cutting the bourbon to a barrel proof of 103, a process that remains faithful to the practices of the past.
